Earlybird · Hustlr Pty Limited · Last updated: 12 June 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Hustlr Pty Limited ("Hustlr", "we", "us") collects, uses, and stores information when you use the Earlybird Chrome extension ("the Extension"). We are committed to handling your information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
Earlybird is not affiliated, associated, authorised, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with LinkedIn Corporation. "LinkedIn" is a registered trademark of LinkedIn Corporation, used here only to describe the website the Extension works with.
1. Who this policy applies to
The Extension is intended for users who are 16 years of age or older, consistent with the minimum age requirement of the professional network it works with. By using the Extension you confirm that you meet this requirement.
2. How the Extension works
Earlybird is a personal analytics and content-discovery tool. It works by processing information that linkedin.com has already delivered to your browser while you browse normally:
- It reads content that is visible on pages you choose to visit, and the data your browser receives in order to display those pages.
- It is not an automation tool. It never posts, comments, reacts, follows, connects, messages, or performs any other action in your name, and it cannot do so — it has no access to your login credentials, session cookies, or private messages.
- It does not browse on your behalf. Nothing is collected from pages you do not personally visit.
- It runs only on linkedin.com. It does not observe your activity on any other website.
3. What information we collect
Information you provide
Account credentials — your email address and a password, or your Google account email and display name if you sign in with Google, used to create and access your Earlybird account.
Billing information — if you purchase a subscription, payment is handled by our payment processor (see Section 7). We never receive or store your card number.
Your own activity data
When you browse linkedin.com with the Extension active, it reads and stores the following data about your account and activity, so it can show you trends over time:
- Your profile information (name, profile photo, follower count, public profile username)
- Your posts — text content, impression counts, reactions, comments, and reposts
- Your comments — text snippet, impression count, and reactions received
- Your analytics data (e.g. profile views, follower growth) as displayed on your own analytics pages
Public post information (community trending pool)
The Extension's content-discovery feature identifies public posts that are gaining traction. As you browse your feed, the Extension records limited information about public posts your browser displays: the post's link, the author's public name, photo, and profile link, a short excerpt of the post text, engagement counts, and the time the post was published.
- This information is contributed to a shared pool so that all Earlybird users can discover trending posts.
- Contributions are not linked to your identity — other users cannot see who contributed a post, and the pool stores no information about you.
- The pool contains only information that is publicly visible on linkedin.com; it never includes private content, messages, or anything from restricted-visibility posts beyond what your browser was served.
- An aggregate, anonymous counter of how many posts were analysed each day is also maintained.
Information stored on your device
A working copy of recently captured data (such as posts seen in your feed and your recent comments) is stored locally in your browser's extension storage and never leaves your device unless described above.
What we do not collect
- Your password for linkedin.com, session cookies, or private messages
- Your browsing activity on any site other than linkedin.com
- Your contacts or connection lists
4. How we use your information
We use the information collected solely to provide and improve the functionality of the Extension, including:
- Displaying your post and comment performance history
- Tracking follower growth and analytics trends over time
- Surfacing trending public posts worth engaging with
- Operating your subscription and trial entitlements
We do not use your information for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell your information to any third party.
5. How your information is stored
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore database and Firebase Authentication), provided by Google LLC. Firebase servers are located in the United States. By using the Extension you consent to your information being transferred to and stored in the United States in accordance with Google's data processing terms.
Access to your personal data in Firebase is protected by authentication and server-side security rules — only your authenticated account can read or write your personal data. The community trending pool (Section 3) is readable by authenticated Earlybird users only, and contains no personal data about you.
6. Sharing of information
We do not share your personal information with third parties except:
- Google / Firebase — as the infrastructure provider for authentication and data storage (see Section 5).
- Stripe — as our payment processor, if you purchase a subscription (see Section 7).
- Other Earlybird users — only the anonymous public-post information described in Section 3 (community trending pool). Your identity, account details, and personal analytics are never shared with other users.
- Legal requirements — if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request.
7. Payments
Paid subscriptions and free trials are processed by Stripe, Inc. When you subscribe, Stripe collects your payment details directly — we never receive or store your full card number. We receive and store only your subscription status (e.g. trialing, active, cancelled) and the email associated with the purchase, so we can activate your account. Stripe's handling of your payment information is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
8. Data retention and deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account remains active. You may delete your account and all associated personal data at any time from within the Extension (Settings → Delete my account). Upon deletion, your personal data — your profile information, posts, comments, analytics, and saved items — is removed from our servers immediately.
Anonymous contributions to the community trending pool are not linked to your account and therefore are not affected by account deletion; trending posts naturally age out of the discovery feature within 72 hours of publication.
You may also request deletion by emailing us at info@hustlr.com.au.
9. Information about other people
The community trending pool contains limited, publicly visible information about posts written by people who may not be Earlybird users (author name, photo, public profile link, post excerpt, and engagement counts). We process this information on the basis that it is already public, and only to surface trending public content. If you are the author of a post and would like your information removed from the pool, contact us at info@hustlr.com.au and we will remove it promptly.
10. Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
-Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Request deletion of your personal information
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@hustlr.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and no later than 30 days. If you are located in the EU/UK or California, we will honour access, correction, deletion, and portability requests consistent with the GDPR and CCPA respectively.
11. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. All data transmitted to Firebase is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Access to your stored data requires a valid authenticated session, enforced by server-side security rules.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at info@hustlr.com.au.
12. Children's privacy
The Extension is not directed at anyone under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Extension after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
